All-time favourite for an entire family, chicken curry is easy to prepare and an awesome satisfying meal with a rich flavour when cooked with vegetables such as lady fingers, brinjals and tomatoes. 
 
 
                                                                                                                                   
CHICKEN CURRY -   咖喱鸡 – Kari Ayam (1 Kilo)
 
 
 
 

Ingredients (sliced): 2 big onions, 10 shallots, 2 tomatoes, 2 potatoes, 1 green chilli. Lime juice extracted from 5 small limes. Grinded paste - 1 tomato & 1 big onion (as an alternative you may use 1 cup of carnation milk but only add in after the meat is cooked). Pounded - 8 pieces garlic & 1 inch ginger. 6 tablespoons cooking oil. Salt to taste.

Method for cooking

  1. Marinate chicken with 2 teaspoons of lime juice and leave it aside (You may also add 1 tablespoon of grinded ginger/garlic paste).
  2. Heat wok, pour oil, add Packet A and saute for 5 seconds. Add pounded garlic and ginger, stir fry 5 seconds. Add sliced onions, shallots and green chilli, stir fry till onions turn light brown. 
  3. Add Packet B, sliced tomatoes, chicken and mix well. Add grinded paste, 500ml water, lime juice, salt, potatoes, mix well (for extra spicy, add 1 teaspoon black pepper powder). Close lid and cook for 20 minutes. If you prefer for added flavours, you may add 1 cup carnation / coconut milk or 1 cup yoghurt, mix well and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring in between. Off stove, garnish with fresh curry, coriander and spring onion leaves.

 

  1. 放入两茶匙柠檬汁腌制切好的鸡肉
  2. 热锅,倒入适量的油再将调味料包A,倒入锅中快炒5秒钟. 将捣碎的蒜头,姜一起翻炒5秒种. 最后加入切片洋葱,红葱头和青辣椒翻炒至金黄色即可.
  3. 将调味料包B, 番茄片和腌制好的鸡肉加入锅中一起翻炒.再加入腌料(如果使用牛奶可跳过这个步骤)和500ML的水,柠檬汁,盐,马铃薯倒入锅中搅拌均匀,再盖上锅盖煮20分钟. 最后加入牛奶(可加入一茶匙的黑胡椒增加辣味)持续搅拌5分钟即可关火. 加入香菜和青葱点缀即可.

 

  1. Perapkan ayam bersama 2 sudu kecil perahan air limau nipis.  Biarkan seketika.
  2. Panaskan minyak di dalam periuk dan masukkan Paket A dan tumis selama 5 saat.  Masukkan bawang putih dan halia yang sudah di kisar dan tumis selama 5 saat.  Masukkan hirisan bawang, bawang kecil, cili hijau dan tumis sehingga bawang kecil bertukar warna kekuningan.
  3. Masukkan Paket B, hirisan tomato, ayam and gaul rata.  Campurkan kisaran pes (tak perlu jika menggunakan susu cair).  Masukkan 500ml air, perahan limau nipis, garam, kentang dan gaul rata.  Tutup periuk dan masak selama 20 minit.  Tuang susu cair (untuk lebih pedas campurkan 1 sudu kecil serbuk lada hitam) dan masak lagi selama 5 minit. Hendaklah sentiasa di kacau.  Tutup api.  Buat hiasan, letakkan daun ketumbar dan daun bawang.
